Liability limit for the loss or damage of goods
Sum insured 500 000 Euro
250 000 Euro for one insurance case
According to the general regulations indicated in Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) the carrier shall be liable for the total or partial loss of the goods and for damage as well as for any delay in delivery. Compensation shall not, however, exceed 8, 33 payment units per kilogram of gross weight short. Thus, the liability of the carrier within Convention can not exceed 250 000 EUR per one insurance case.
Additional insurance
We additionally insure up to 100% cargo's value no matter what weight and sum it may be if our Customer wants us to. Very often it is done during high value goods carriage. In this case Customers have a possibility to get full compensation even though CMR limit of carrier's liability can be exceeded.
